Director of Technology
Nick began his career at Carlton Television in 1996 as an Engineering runner, progressing to VTR Operator and Edit Assistant, also co-ordinating bookings with Carlton’s London TV Centre facility. Whilst at ITV he was involved in operations and installations, including an Avid Unity installation for the 2003 Rugby World Cup, and was then seconded to the ITV emerging technologies department, where he set up and evaluated file-based workflows and future HD technologies.
Nick finally became part of the London Studios technical support team, servicing studios, post production and transmission, before joining Input Media in May 2005.
In 2009 he became our Director of Technology, and is now responsible for the technical direction of Input Media within our first class Production Centre, and for major external jobs such as Roland Garros and the coverage of BBC Women's World Cup, Canada 2015 .
